About
I have worked in the computer & telecom industries since the early 1980s and have run my own computer businesses in New Zealand since 1998 and 2005 in the Shoalhaven.
As you can tell from the brief bio above, I am a (now senior) geek – and proud to be one.
Since I discovered a passion for electronics at an early age, I have been fascinated by technology of all kinds. I built my first home stereo system from scratch, even the speakers and my first, very basic by today’s standards, computer in the early 1980s.
I keep up with changes in technology and believe I can’t honestly advise people unless I have personal experience in the things they want to use. I have setup a home file server for keeping files secure and delivering multimedia content around the house, a VOIP (voice over internet) phone service to drastically reduce our phone bills and use a variety of gadgets including smart phones, tablets and media players to ensure I keep up with what I’m asked about.
I support the seniors in our community with my involvement in the Heads Seniors Computer Club and attend most club meetings to provide assistance and training.
Contact me if you need assistance with nearly every type of ‘technical’ problem – from smart phones to smart TVs, from computer malware removal to helping you reduce your phone bills.
